The DC18RD 240V Li-ion 14.4v- 18v dual port fast charger is able to consecutively charge 2 Makita batteries with the same performance and charge times as a single battery. This means that you can now charge 2 batteries, in the time is used to take you to charge one and seeing as Makita already had the fastest charging battery on the market that really is saying something.
This model also features a fully charged sound alert, LED charging display, forced cooling system and electronic current limiter for overload protection.
The DC18RD uses a CPU to communicate with the batteries built in memory chip during a charge cycle, which analyses the data stored in the battery chip to decide on the best charging method at that time. This innovative technology results in longer battery life.

The BL1850B will increase the runtime of your Makita 18v li-ion cordless power tools by 33% over the BL1840 4.0Ah and 66% over the popular BL1830 3.0Ah version.
It can be charged using the standard DC18RC charger and will fully charge from flat in an unbeatable 45mins, which makes it the fastest charging 5.0Ah battery on the market.
