Monkey 47 Schwartzwald Dry Gin is a modern recreation of The Wild Monkey guesthouse’s signature Schwartzwald Dry Gin served in the Black Forest up until the 1970s. Monkey 47 draws on 47 ingredients, with many of the core flavours coming directly from the Black Forest itself. The recipe took two years to create, with every ingredient chosen for its valuable contribution to the ideal gin. It would be difficult if not impossible to discern every one of the ingredients, but they all play their role in creating a rich and exceptionally complex gin. Dalmore 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl

The Dalmore 12 Year Old is initially matured for 9 years in ex-bourbon casks. For the remaining 3 years, it is divided in two, with half maturing in Oloroso sherry butts, the remainder continuing maturation in bourbon casks, before finally remarrying the two halves for bottling. On the nose, aromas of citrus fruit and chocolate with fragrant notes of aromatic spices. On the palate, the sherry finishing makes itself known as notes of oloroso sherry come through alongside more citrus and hints of vanilla. Chocolate and roasted coffee lingers in the finish. The Dalmore 12 Year Old is the original masterpiece of the distillery’s owner Andrew Mackenzie in 1867, distinguishing itself far beyond most other whiskies of the time, when many were typically matured for 6 years, at most. It remains as exceptional today as it was then.

Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum 70cl

Released in celebration of the brand’s 311-year history, Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum reinforces the craft, refinement, and unparalleled excellence at Mount Gay since 1703. Mount Gay has continued a long-standing Barbadian tradition for producing the world’s oldest refined rum. Only the finest sugar cane molasses and pure water that’s filtered through the coral heart of the island of Barbados are selected. Mount Gay Black Barrel is double pot distilled and maturated for a second time in bourbon oak barrels. Black Barrel has a higher proportion of double distillates than other Mount Gay rums and after hand selection by Master Blender Allen Smith, Black Barrel is the only marque finished in charred bourbon oak barrels. The result is a bold tasting rum with notes of pepper, spice and wood that provide a remarkable body and fullness. On the nose, Black Barrel blends fruit, oaky vanilla, and sweet caramel.

Taylors 20 Year Old Tawny Port 75cl in Taylors Box

An aromatic personality with wonderful sweetness and length. A smoky, perfumed and woody nose. Intense flavours of toffee pudding and green walnuts make up the palate. A well made wine with great poise, length and balance. The port is made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Cao & Tinta Amarela. Like the 10 Year Old, the 20 Year Old is bottled when ready to drink and will not improve if laid down in bottle. It is an excellent accompaniment to many desserts and can also be enjoyed with some fruit dishes, especially strawberries. It may also be appreciated on its own, at the end of the meal, and can be served cool in summer. Taylor’s 20 Year Old Tawny is another magnificent, finely-balanced old tawny blend. Here again, the wines are selected from among the best red ports produced in the eastern areas of the Douro Valley, including Taylor’s own properties, and aged in oak casks. In the 20 Year Old, the fruit has mellowed still further than in the 10 Year Old, and the spicy, nutty aromas of ageing are more powerful and intense. Presented in a Taylors 20 Year Old Branded Box.
