The heatbed nozzle wiper is designed for cleaning the hotend nozzle before starting a print job. The machine’s heated bed comes with a built-in nozzle wiping kit, and the cleaning action is automatically performed after initiating each print task without the need for manual intervention.
Over time, the silicone wiper bristles can become damaged, and the metallic wiper may wear out or become bent. Common issues that may indicate the need for replacement of the A1 mini nozzle wipers include:
1. Inadequate cleaning of the nozzle during the pre-print preparation step
2. Filament adhering to the nozzle tip during bed leveling, resulting in an inconsistent first layer
3. Visible damage or wear on the nozzle wipers.
This Purge Wiper is designed to efficiently remove waste filament generated by the printer’s hotend. It gathers and dislodges waste filament during different stages, including printer setup, pause and resume operations, and filament changes for multi-color printing. Its purpose is to ensure the proper management and disposal of waste materials for seamless printing processes.
