The STIHL 2-mix engine has been specially designed for the next generation of hedge trimmer as it combines low consumption and emissions with low weight as well as excellent acceleration. There are also always sufficient power reserves for cutting thicker shrubs. The Electronic ignition module ensures reliable starting and trouble-free running. The ignition system is fully encapsulated and thus protected from damp and dirt.
The cutting blade is double sided and with the sophisticated blade geometry, jobs are easily done.
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting pulls required following extended breaks in operations. The long-life air filter system means you can leave it longer between cleaning and gives better protection of the engine.
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine’s engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

The large nylon visor at the front, which can be raised and lowered, is perfect in situations where cuttings and debris maybe flying around. The visor will also act as a protection against glare on bright, reflective surfaces.
The low profile ear muffs provide good sound protection against loud machines. Vents in the upper part of the helmet ensure good ventilation to keep your head cool on warmer days. However, if it does it warm, a built in sweatband made from functional material will ensure that you can keep working without interference from sweat.
Thanks to the way the helmet has been designed, should you find yourself working in the rain, water will be deflected away from the front thanks to a unique rain channel.
